This program is for children between the ages of 2-4yrs.
The objective of the program is to improve the child’s school readiness, by enhancing their language and communication skills, social skills (accepting peers around, sitting with peers during circle time, turn taking), self-care abilities (independence in toileting, independence in feeding), and co-operative play skillsThis program will make transitioning to regular school environment easier for children with AutismStructure of the program:This is a daily program for 90 minutes (Monday – Friday) executed in a small group of 5-6 kids by a qualified Behavior Analyst with the support of behavior technicians in a 3:1 ratioLearning objectives of the program –
•Participating in group activities such as circle time, music, art, dance
•Following group instructions
•Task completion with minimal supports
•Paying attention during instruction time
•Responding to peer requests to play
•Independent and group play skills
•Learning in a group environment with distractions
•Transitioning from preferred (play time) to non-preferred educational tasks
•Tolerating delays and denials to access their preferred activities or items
